Will is words. He is a poem, he is something that hooks you from the start, and can be a tragedy, a comedy, or slam poetry. He has a voice and phrases and a character that you close your eyes and quote with a smile because it fills you and envelopes you and sweeps you away. Will has always been this. That is why he was the one that was like “Look at this balcony, let’s make out on it” or “I’m full of Vampire blood and holy water, let’s make out.”
Jem…is music. Jem is the quiet opening notes of a violin. He is the soft lullaby that plays you to sleep, that makes you relax and sway with the ebb and flow that music gives you. He rises slowly into an exploding crescendo in a way that you never would have seen coming had you not known his melody and rhythm by heart. He is the boy that kisses you softly with a sigh and five minutes later you’re like “How did my back get against this door, where did you learn to do THAT with your tongue?”
People underestimate boys like Jem. They flock to boys like Will who are fireballs that pull you in.”
Actually it is more than just a toaster; it is a short story.
“Finally” denotes anticipation.
“My mom” is character development: you have a mom.
“Bought a toaster” is the clear resolution of the story.
It speaks volumes.
its just a toaster
Don’t say that
